We both got various shots recommended by our respective doctors before we sailed, to cover all the countries and maladies we might encounter along the way. The infrastructure seemed sound, but perhaps public services like trash pickup was lacking. We rarely eat or drink anything off the ship, so water usually isn't an issue. Plus Viking always has water bottles available for everyone as we head off the ship. They do it just as a courtesy at every stop, not as a warning against the local water. Bob had a tooth pulled and Kevin had the flu. Other than that, no health issues to speak of for us.
